design thinking

Design Thinking is a critical form of observation that help imagine innovative solutions and sometimes even question the very goals of a business or of a project.
It represents a very valuable asset for a company, giving it flexibility, resilience to critical situations and a continuous ability to evolve. Integrating design thinking into businesses means establishing a framework that indefinitely generates unique, environmentally coherent and innovative answers.

Design thinking is an attitude, not a specific work methodology of a particular professional group. It is not transmitted via knowledge or skills, but it can be developed through practice, trial and error, direct experience. Therefore, introducing design thinking in a business can result from very easy to impossible, depending on the willingess of people to recognize and grow the attitude.

Dirección Creativa, in cooperation with members of the Innovation Committee of the 22@ Network in Barcelona, is leading an effort to develop the Map of Design Thinking, a visual tool to help understand and position design thinking and to facilitate its adoption as a tool to generate meaningful and creative innovation.

Design thinking workshops based on the map are not simulations, they start from the observation of a specific context (the business environment, the composition of a team, etc.) and aim to resolve real business issues using a holistic approach.
